Henry and Lorie have known each other since High School. After more than a decade apart, they found each other again in August 2009, through Facebook. (whoever adds who is still an argument).
Despite connection in this social media, their communication started only when high school batch held a reunion in December 2010 where Henry, who had his vacation and made it to the gathering, teases Lorie for being a no show in the event. Since then, Henry becomes visible to Lorie’s profile, a constant liker and a critic! Chat becomes everyday as possible, until they found their chemistry blending even at humorously criticizing each other. In fact, pick-up lines also features in their never-ending conversations.
It was August 5, 2011 when they first met, in person, the first time after sixteen years…
Lorie impatiently waited for Henry at the coffee shop in ATC, for almost an hour. When she decided to leave and about to head toward the exit door, Henry appeared, with a defensive reason: "He was on time but lost in an unfamiliar mall with no mobile signal around for a call" -- such a good excuse for a person who has been absent in the country for a long period. Not quite convincing, but stunned by the moment and Henry’s apologetic charm, night was a history...
This meeting has marked their affinity together, followed by a few dates at the spa, mall of asia and a dinner on the 18th of August before Henry went back to Dubai. In his short vacation, they were connected right away. Though they are miles apart, the connection never stops. Henry sent Lorie a bouquet of flowers and a cuddling bear to her office a day after he left the country. From then on, flowers and chocolates were regularly delivered sweetly to her desk. And most of all, Henry never failed to make Lorie smile everyday specially every time she opens her mail inbox with comic pictures of themselves.
From the time they found affection and mutual attraction, communication has become the most important part of their relationship. Henry and Lorie never wasted a day without talking, relentlessly share each other’s thoughts and keep the smiles they have put in each other’s face........up to and until this moment.
