The Bride
I have lots to say about my future wife... During high school years, I would probably describe her as pleasing, but not my type of girl (and so I am to her! Hehehe!) She was an unobtrusive person, sitting just around the corner, reading her notes, focused on her studies, no time to roam around and I hardly even remember if we ever hang out, except for one thing: playing scrabble and word factory games during recess. Just as I am, she was also a member of campus journal, as a photographer. A student profession that she took seriously, and in my thoughts, seeing her around the campus with a big camera hanging around her neck looks even heavier than her own weight! Those memories are more than a decade ago, and who would have thought that the girl I haven’t noticed before will bring happiness and joy that fills my lifetime.
Since we started our communication, we never run out of words, have lot of things to talk and share about, and distance has never become a hindrance. We always enjoy our time together, soon as our conversation started until we end up to a “never-ending” topics. She never failed to make me smile in her own little ways, I sturdily laugh at her jokes na "kulang sa punchline" which really makes her very endearing. It’s such a joy whenever I hear Lorie laughing loudly, and I find her memory gap attack witty and cute.
She is by far my toughest critic but a good listener. Persons who would know her the first time will have an impression of her as "Suplada” and is sometimes "Mataray". You would even say that she's a Soul SIREN, a Diva, as she has a high-pitch tone of voice whenever she speaks irritably. But as I deeply knew her, she can easily get affected and be emotional on things that matters her… Perhaps I can easily make her cry, (but that’s the very thing I wouldn’t do and never wanted to see)
Lorie loves to travel and explore different places. This is one of the things we have in common. Never get deceived when she says she doesn’t have enough appetite for a meal..., cause when a pillow talk started, you will notice an empty plate in front of her, food that is fully consumed in the end! Proof that she loves to eat after all.
Being lovely, delightful and absorbed at times, are already given to describe Lorie. But the way I look at her, in her own extraordinary qualities, despite her stubbornness, lack of patience and imperfections, I still find her amazing! I have more than enough reasons to be grateful for having her, a woman whom I want to spend the rest of my life with.
Ooops, do you know the best that I like in her?... She loves to sing…, trying to be a singer even if ”sometimes” she is way out of tune! Hahahaha!
The Groom
Henry is a natural born artist. His drawing skill is evident since high school, where he was a cartoonist on our campus journal, represents inter-school competition and I’m actually a fan when he made it and won the national competition. Bringing in his exceptional talent, he spent his early twenties practically living out of his suitcase to work overseas, built and established his career as a Graphic Designer in an Advertising office in Dubai.
I do not actually remember being closed with him when we were in High School, but we got along during recess, where he seats with us to play board games or borrow my notebook to copy my assignments! (joke!) haha! And if anyone thinks he was my High school crush? No, not at all! Hehe!
I do have a countless reasons to admire my groom. He’s a cool guy, a good confidant and a person with great sense of humor. Bet that everybody will agree how thoughtful, friendly and generous this ogre is. It won’t be hard to share anything and everything to him. A meaningful comments, destructive advices and endless laughter will be enjoyed together during a heart-warming conversations with him (charming isn’t it?). Henry is impressively thoughtful! He is fond of giving presents and surprises to his love ones. But for some unfortunate reasons, I sometimes screw his moments and easily discovered his plans before it was revealed! (my talent!)
“Family comes first” greatly applies to his principle, this is how he value and love his family. He is also a health-conscious guy, watches his diet on a purpose and never failed to go to the gym, strictly as per his schedule. Our friends and classmates do know how skinny we were when we were young, but look how hunk he is by now! Henry is also an explorer and loves to travel. He would prefer to wander around rather than stay home the whole day, expect his weekends spent out of the house and will definitely be seen in malls or restaurants, if you would ever try to find him. Be warned: Never try to starve him. To do so would put him out of focus and worst, might not remember you at all.! Hahahaha!
As I describe my future husband, I couldn’t think of anything that wouldn’t make me smile. He painted my face with laughter, hope and love.., things that I need each day to fill a lifetime. This is how he is... and this is how I fell in love with him.
Oh wait, there’s more! Henry is also meticulous, slight oc, hard-headed, annoying at times... Oooppss! Im running out of ink!!!!
