Many may have thought that the proposal happened in Coron, Palawan. Well... It’s just a pre-engagement event! Haha! Henry had his moment to propose the night of August 27, 2012 at Acacia Hotel in Alabang. 

 

After dinner, we were seated at the lounge area, taking pictures while waiting for our coffee. I noticed his anxiousness that night and was actually surprised by his reaction when I unconsciously mix my frapuccino with a straw, not knowing that the ring was rested there. He suddenly trembled and say... "Ha! Bakit mo ginawa yan!". Immediately, he took the coffee from me and scooped the bottom of the glass using a very short teaspoon, his finger was in my coffee and cream spreads in his hand! "Sinira mo moment ko!" he bluntly cried... Looking at his gestures, I was laughing at him having an idea of what was happening. It was really funny and sweet when he took the ring all messed up with coffee and cleaned it with his lips. He showed it to me and said "Oh alam mo ibig sabihin nito?"... I hug him tight as a response, as at that moment I am about to cry but can’t help to laugh at the same time. A serious occasion becomes a romantic comic affair that made his proposal unique among those I have ever imagined. 

 

Now looking back at the time we’ve spent together, I can’t help but think how lucky I am to marry Henry, the lifetime partner God has given me, the Mr. Right I have long waited for and I couldn’t think of anything more to ask for. The past years have been full of some of the best moments of our life, and we are so excited for more as we continue our journey together. From that night, the step to the same direction begins.
